To say that, this is really good... until it suddenly isn't, may seem both silly and obvious, yet it sums this title up perfectly.
A so-so kung fu master takes in orphans and struggles to raise them; it's a slow-burn story but really engaging and a nice change of pace to the usual mayhem of the action genre. Suddenly though, the story doesn't make any sense - as in, are there chapters missing?
And, nope, there aren't!
Undeterred by this massive red flag, I kept reading as the story became more and more messy and I felt myself not giving a crap as to who was whom or what happened to any of them! If I hadn't seen that it ended at 89 chapters, I would've dropped it at 60, but I had the false hope of it finding a spark of its former glory.
At the end of the 89th chapter, however, the translators cite the title as going on hiatus as the author attempts to fix the myriad storytelling issues.
I doubt that's possible and this one will likely never be back.
After the first 30-40 chapters pacing starts to become a real mess. Art is okay, but not more than that.
There have many important characters, the plot may look a bit all over the place though. You can also recognize some from Peerless Dad.
For example :
It seems that many of those children will become a central figure of this universe.
Anyway, the plot looks a bit rushed. The kids suddenly split due to some events and due to some reasons, none can contact back their hometown. They will grow up each their own side.
For readers like me who are interested in that universe, this is a must read. To complement your knowledge on Peerless Dad and such.
