    MC can only get as smart as the author
    so to make MC look smarter than they are, the side characters need to be dumbed down
    this is why isekai to medieval era is popular, because author can get away by saying that the characters lacked modern education or just make up some random magical stuff out of their ass (often didn't work as well as they wanted it to though)

    Idk to me I came in expecting something decent. So far in this is comedy gold. A solid 2/10 in the story depratment while a 10/10 in the comedy department. It's one of those guilty pleasures.
