    We don't know, there's the common theory that it's his old body re-animated since we see Lloyd desecrating his own grave in the backstory of TN, however I'm not convinced because:

    For one, his old body lacked any substantial amount of mana unless TN is being possessed by a powerful entity that supplies the mana.

    Second, In the blurry flashback, we see Lloyd looking over his old skeleton, but TN already seems to be somewhere else, sealed and unleashed elsewhere, I don't think they are the same skeleton.

    My personal take is that Lloyd broke some sort of Taboo by finding his old body or something like that, which caused TN to be unleashed, which I also think is the one responsible of starting the stampede. We also don't know if TN even is a Dungeon Boss, as it is the only Alpha that the Guild was completely unaware of.
