And the target readers aren't toddlers or kids, it's basically a romcom for anyone being mature enough to appreciate romcom and seeing different evolution of it.

From chapter 1 to nowadays, they constantly develop their relationship. Lewd & ecchi was always part of it, even implied without showing it. Tone is clear since day 1.

thats the only good explanation, but its a big if. and even then, most isekai stories have their own gods and the christian god is never mentioned, only christmas ever is. it would be weird for the christian god to have subordinate gods acting in his place

The author has been writing like this for over 30 years, I think he has his business model figured out.

I like this fine, but I feel like 95% of my enjoyment of this series is for the girls. I don't really care about the story, and the MC is kinda meh. Also, a little pet peeve of mine is when MCs have basically nothing special about them, but the world (specifically the girls) treat him like he's the second coming of Christ.
