While I'm on the topic of characters,the character development may not be as good as mangas like Red Storm, Holy Land etc.That doesn't mean it's lacking, you can't call the characters here one dimensional, they are also very likeable, my favorite character being Georg. He'd been serving the country for years, and a feared warrior. When kazuya became king of the kingdom, he supposedly didn't deem him worthy and sheltered corrupt nobles. But what kazuya didn't know was he intended to gather all the nobles, get them to waste all their last "dark" money, severe all other family relationships and purposely lose to kazuya, leaving the country to him to govern. He had THAT much trust in him despite not meeting him before making the plan. I respect him for that, and I hope future generations doesn't view him as a traitor. That's what this manga makes you do. You actually get to care about a character. I know a lot of other mangas can do that but I'm just further proving my point.

I agree. It is a fun trope that they are dressed as guys, but it's literally just their cross-dressing job and they only ever see them while they're cross-dressing instead of actually seeing their "real personalities" outside their cross-dressing. What kind of romance manga is this shallow? Certainly not one I'd be interested in.

Although you could just make all my points invalid by saying it's the author's barely disguised fetish and want to make a Boy's Love manga but somehow straight.
