An Okay read, I personally think reading Zero first over the main is recommended.
Zero gives you much needed characterization for Akame and her sister, and it's a better experience to go from Zero to the main.
However Zero is perhaps longer than necessary and essentially feels like filler at times.

Overall if you're a fan of the Akame series or something like Deadman Wonderland. Though like the main series, it squanders the potential of being a truly good manga about assassins and being something more ridiculous then anything serious.

Also Takahiro was way hornier than usual so Zero is more sexual than the main series.
