The Japan under-16 rugby team, known as the Perfect Squad, dramatically altered the landscape of high school rugby following their dominant World Cup victory. Many former members of the Perfect Squad now play for teams in their home prefectures. As a result, Rikuzen High's rugby team has almost abandoned hope of winning and embraced a more relaxed approach to training.
However, the arrival of Kinzan Yamada, a new transfer student with no rugby experience, changes everything. Despite his lack of familiarity with the sport, Kinzan is enthusiastic about diving into rugby. The real question remains: is the rest of the team ready for the impact he will have on the game?
13 chapters in and it seems okay, the art is sometime a little fujoshi bait but not too bad compared to other sport series where you feel a bit sick of it all.
Hopefully it keeps itself imaginative and doesn't become tropey or tired.
