this one was doing poorly from the get go (sales-wise), so as soon as I saw how the tone of the story shifted, I knew shit was going down.

It has the same non-sensical plot like Konosuba, so give it a whirl if you like it. Though the early chapters can be a slog to read through, it gets better -- by better I mean wackier. The MC is practically useless despite being inside the hero's body but somehow keeps getting away with it cause his tomfoolery and his party members.
