A 26-year-old office worker, Matsumaru Fumihiko, invited his colleague Miss Tanaka to watch a movie with him, but she never showed up at the theater. As he was about to discard the ticket, a 20-year-old aspiring voice actress named Onda Aka asked if she could have it. The two ended up watching the movie together.
On their way home, they discovered they lived close to each other. That night, Aka's apartment caught fire, and Matsumaru offered his assistance. She ended up moving in with him, but they had to keep it secret to protect their jobs.
What will become of this relationship that is more than friends but less than lovers?
