Shino feels utterly lost in her life. She starts spending time with Masaki, a former work colleague who is quite macho. The troubles at her job eventually lead her to quit. Seeking independence, she moves out, distancing herself from Masaki, and settles into a tiny room in an old building on the outskirts. Upon arrival, she discovers a small garden shared with her neighbors, a couple around her age. Gradually, she finds herself increasingly drawn to the enigmatic man living next door.
