Kubo's character arc was finished after the village. Honestly if he did come back after the village he'd be a shadow of his former self, because we already know what he's capable of and Tetsuo already bested him in wit. The only purpose of him being alive was as a living reminder to Tetsuo's Trauma to kick start the events of the 3rd arc, but the main antagonist in this arc isn't Kubo, it's those village survivors and Shino. Makes perfect sense to dispose of the character and make way for others.
it's a personal refference i like this more than kanojo mo kanojo. i already drop that series from the 1st chap and actually surprised it got an adaptation. i hope this one also get the opportunity later.
• Good God the prison saint clone yapped her ass off, more so than the wind dragon from the earlier chapters
• Information on gilzea having a sibling(?) related to the sun cult, that's very interesting. Plus gilzea first called them "Big sister" but corrected herself to "brother" so those that person change genders or are their two souls in that one body?
