A game is just a game. Sometimes people just like the gameplay or the story and don't care about the actual love interests. I'm playing one right now where the love interest is a literal sentient coffin.

I couldn't care less about the coffin. But damn is his mini game puzzle addicting

rather than childish, i think it's because this manga put a lot of grown up stuffs in it (mainly politics). at least that's what i see from all the comments i've read in various sites
