Is it on hiatus?

Felt like I got to know Kaiji more as a person this arc. Seeing him in a comparatively mundane lifestyle with regular day inconveniences and misshaps humanizes him. Over the past 5 parts, we've only gotten to know little bits about him through visual metaphors and tiny flashbacks. But now we're learning about his mum, friendships, flaws, taste (in food, even in women), friendships, sense of humour - everything you could want to know!

This arc had been my favourite and most enjoyable to read so far. Not the best arc, that award goes to Part 3, but in terms of how much fun I had reading, this arc tops all.

Excited to see how this wonderful series ends, since I feel like we're getting closer and closer to a finale soon.
