That's basically this manga in a nutshell. It's the first manga I've read that fits into the "dark fantasy" category, and remains one of the only titles that handles its story and atmosphere as well as it has even to this day. It's aged like a fine wine, which is probably why I've re-read this entire series like 3 times now. The characters are so unimaginably lovable, especially the mainstays. They all play off of each other really well. They also develop really well, too. You get to see these characters with serious issues become more self-actualized as the great central mystery unravels.
The artstyle starts off great, but just evolves into something beautiful, Jun Mochizuki's art is just *chef's kiss*
