    This is a really common trend in newer Isekai manga. It allows the author to turn any bad character into a good guy with a single redeeming moment, and if you pay attention it happens all the time. It’s the laziest thing you can do to move the plot along. Was just rereading Martial Peak, bad guy/bully of the first 20+ chapter becomes MC’s best friend because MC saves him one time. They totally forget the fact that the shithole was beating the crap out of people for fun.
