It's a traditional action series with all the normal tropes, but the pace it too slow for the newer action series and what was introduced in the 30 ch I've read is't original nor does it arouse my interest. Just the typical lets do a fighting tournament series with the supernatural lore twist. I mean he doesn't even know what he's getting into and they've introduced the yoma king thing. the first day takes 12 chapters and they've already introduced three time limits.
I I'd only recommend it if you haven't read any similar series, the author is going slow and setting everything decently, foreshadowing the ripping of the nails as some power and so on ... but the unknowingly being a monster having an exorcist best friend ... has been extensively tried, so I'd go for a finished series before this one since these king of series tend to stretch. The worst part is that this manwa hasn't "learnt" anything from older series (or if it has it's probably from chinese ones given it's constantly mentioning timeframes, the second weakest monster already being "stronger than 1000 people" and mentioning how many times stronger something is instead of describing it) so stuff like power levels are all over the place ...
