I really dug this in the beginning, especially for the beautifully drawn characters. The dense MC was a much more tolerable version of the cringy MCs from Punch Drunk Love or Pian Pian.
Then, somewhere along the line, the distorted body proportions really started becoming bothersome as did the wrinkled clothing, which I get is meant to be stylistic but, come on, these men look beyond slovenly.
Honestly, at this point, my faves are Hwanseong, the tattoo artist neighbor, and Team 1's Mr. Kang. I am far more interested in what might be their stories, but they're just plot devices at the moment.
Lastly, I felt compelled to leave this review after seeing a rendering of the MC's neck that made him look like a turtle.
Slow burn can work well when the plot has more facets to it. But here, there is no depth or other storylines. It’s just one episode teasing missed chances, misunderstandings, and lack of forward movement. The little horny angel and devil are super cute. But we’re 40 chapters in and so far, the only sex has been the MC with the ML in his dreams, MC with is ex in flashbacks, and the straight couple in his building. Come. On. Already.
I can't believe that i actually enjoying this manga, first of all when reading this review i want you to keep in mind that my bar is on the floor about BL genre.
At first glance i thought that this manga almost have a similar premise like jonjou romantica but boy do i was wrong. It still does but the way they always make it entertaining with the pull and push plot it's amusing. You know both of them have things for each other but your unsure! Everytime plot get progress you get a step back again. But for some reason it always make it entertaining with how they write both of the protagonist and the LI dynamic, they both do the most hilarious and nails biting act but it make me cheer for them at how amusing they do it.
Reading this doesn't make me feel bored or frustated because they didn't get together yet, because it's the whole entirety of the story! Its just fun : )
Also it's feel refreshing to see the protagonist only choosing stupid option only to LI lmao beside that he did not ruin his life
