Its not the style per se, its the many elements that while not original from SU, SU is a famous show that uses many of those together. Gems to power up, stars and lightning shapes on designs and the dude with glasses that cover half of his head are a few that are too obvious, but there are a few others here and there on top of the overall cartoony and silly feeling on the villains.
