    I loved it! Certainly a fresh take on the sports manga genre, it’s a lot more cerebral and psychological compared to like 99% of the stuff out there haha.

    The Mc, Tokuchi Toua, definitely hard carried the manga. He’s very similar in character to Yoichi Hiruma from Eyeshield 21. I love the fact that for most of the manga Tokuchi is fighting a two pronged battle, one against the enemy team and another against his owner who wants to win his bet against Tokuchi, team performance be damned.

    While I prefer the bulk of the manga at this stage, when they moved on from the concept it was also entertaining. The final arc was very hype, though the 1999 special was less so but still a good finish.

    I recommend it to baseball/sports manga fans and those that like tricky MCs.
