Shigeharu Honda is an emerging batter in the Japanese League. His son, Goro, pitches for the Little League and dreams of emulating his father's success. Momoko Hoshino, Goro's schoolteacher, is the first woman to capture Shigeharu's heart since the loss of Goro's mother. The lives of these three individuals will intersect as they encounter moments of grief and triumph on the baseball field. However, when an unthinkable tragedy strikes the family, they must gather all their strength to repair their broken dreams.
