While I am all hands down Erika route I’m still pissed off how mangaka writes her off as almost totally indifferent to romance. It’s like she almost doesn’t care about MC much

If it was a story that is in CoroCoro, like Pokemon Adventures, or other kids manga like Shugo Chara and Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, it'd be the king of its class. (a 10/10) Hence the decision making of making the characters around 14 years old (though I personally find them act more closer to 12 years old due to how innocent they are.)

But individually to stand on its own (void of the restrictions imposed by the publisher), the plot progression can get repetitive and predictable. The biggest strength of this series is its character roster (an ensemble student cast), where each of them are more or less unique and likeable. But because of its target audience, it's also designed to be void of drama, it can feel pretty sanitized to read it, but well it's for kids.

It's a feel-good, slice-of-life series. It's not really exceptional but does well with what it tries to achieve.

One thing that particularly irks me that I personally find unnecessary is the having some boys classmates constantly ogling the girl classmates, it is not really funny and probably made this scene to be relatable for little boy readers but can be a miss and fall flat if you can't really relate for it. (Think of Mineta from MHA, do you really want more Mineta's? What do they contribute other than be "relatable" if you have traits like him? Oh well.)

    Onto the technicalities

    Pros

    • author is able to juggle a huge variety of cast without making them lose their consistency and individuality
    • the drawing is really good considering it looks like it's freehand drawn. There's very little anatomical error. The muscle definitions are properly portrayed.
    • it has nice themes and message for kids (the target audience it tries to go for)

    Cons

    • predictable plot and developments (if you've read a shit ton of manga targeted at Kodomo)
    • Need to turn brain off to enjoy or it can get old
    • Comedy is weak; it's closer to EHEHE IT'S FUNNY AND HAPPY but. How should I describe it, it has this... DORA THE EXPLORER/MY LITTLE PONY vibes ... And you can't really stop yourself from smiling due to how "wholesome" it is. But if we were to evaluate its comedy technicalities, it's not really there. It's like funny due to how innocent it is, but not super duper funny.

I like the story; everyone is a well-written character, and there is nothing to hate except the antagonist. I love everyone, especially the Misfits class and the teachers. I don't know why some people hate the flow of the story but I really enjoy watching the anime and reading the manga.
looking forward to another arc. can't wait to meet Purson Soi and hear him playing Trumpet at the music festival. This anime and manga are really underrated. This deserves more popularity than ************ people who hate this story didn't enjoy their high school life.

It's for kids. The jokes are rarely funny, the characters are all extremely stupid, and it's basically yet another 'friendship power' type of action manga. One of those mangas where the only way character development can occur is by making the MC start at the very bottom. Disgustingly nice MC, afraid of everything including his shadow, and a complete pushover who only manages to survive due to ridiculous amounts of plot armor. The 'evasive power' is the worst offender. It's the often repeated gag that helps the MC bullshit his way through everything.

This manga made me understand that I'm just too old to read shounen now. I gave it 80 chapters to change my mind, but it didn't. It's basically just a bunch of filler loosely tied together. It tries so hard to be funny that when it tries to be even slightly serious, it just falls flat.
