I hope Marcille realizes that what she wants may be commendable but it is still the epitome of selfishness.

And it is curious that being a half-blood makes her live longer, in a way it makes the hate of the pure-blooded elves supremacist have "little" reason, as far as I can say the whole elf schtick here is that they use their long lives as reasoning to meddle with everyone's affairs and see themselves as better, but if the half-bloods of their race live longer than them it would mean that there is more potential in the races with shorter lifespans, and that must grill their nerves.
