AAAHHHHH, NOOO IT WAS TOO SHORT. 10/10 for sure

Not just good compared to the main story, it's actually good.

I finished reading this and I have to say it was sadly too short, but still satisfying in some way.
Sadly Kippei and Yuzuyu had to go separate ways but I'm happy for Yuzuyu to have a mother back again who is now responsible.
Although her priority on finding a man is questionable (very questionable) but as long it's for her daughter's future I can somehow take this.

She did love Yuzuyu and so did Kippei.

The only part which I kinda wanted to see more is how Kippei and Kokoro are together as a married couple and seeing their child.
Ah also I kinda wanted Kokoro to settle her relationship with her father and step-mother.
Like coming to peace with her father at least.

I'm happy Yuzuyu is with Shota at the end because they really had a good dynamic.
Sadly we didn't see the Good-bye for Marika and the others. Yuzuyu was really close with Marika.

Aaaaah so much things should have been showed for the ending, so I wouldn't feel that way :(

Ouf. This chapter hits hard.

From what I remember it was something akin to "it's a feast or famine line of work, you're dropping your family name to become a merchant, and [insert very garbage "oH yOuR faMiLy cArED aLl aLOnG" speech here (despite everything we've established leading up to this showing they treated him terribly.)]" I really REALLY hated how they closed out this whole thing in the anime and I was by far not the only one. They tell-don't-show you his parents care but if you take 5 seconds to think back on the son's experiences about how he got the smallest portions despite being a middle child and even those would get stolen from his older siblings while his parents just watched, the fact that they never supported anything he did to try and better himself, the brothers showing straight up disdain for him and his work, etc. you would never come to conclusion that the parents cared even after that scene. It just feels incredibly forced.
