I'm a sucker for a debt-motivated uke taken advantage of by a cold wealthy seme, and Limited Run is no exception. And the art is gorgeous!
That being said, this isn't my favorite example of the trope. It's high quality work, but it has a few elements I find frustrating. I get why they wouldn't be communicating well with each other, but it feels a little overboard. Sometimes it feels like there's no purpose to it except to maintain tension in the narrative.
The smut isn't bad, but it ends up feeling kind of one-note because even after 50+ chapters, Seo still only says "no" and "please stop" and "it feels weird." I'm not bothered by the consent issues, it's just boring if that's all that's happening. (Jehyuk brings it up, at least, so maybe it will get better.)
There are some other tropes that are personal pet peeves of mine, like "SURPRISE we've met before" and "doormat uke," but there are also plenty of my favorites, like "rescued from a bully" and "mistreated by family." I recognize that this comes down to my personal taste rather than quality. (I also recognize that this is a reductive method of assessment, but whatevs.)
One thing I like about this over other similar webtoons is that although Jehyuk is cold and acts like an asshole sometimes, he's NOT a villain. If this story took place in the real world, he'd be a verifiable sex criminal, but if you adjust for yaoi-level standards, he's not all that bad. He's upfront about what he wants, gives Seo chances to say no, and says he won't do it with someone who's actually unwilling. So, if you lower the bar far enough, he's a pretty good guy. 👍
