Nuff said.
Been reading this manga on and off for years now, tend to put it on hold for literal months if not whole years just to let the series have enough chapters released to make it semi-worth wile to read. Typical edgy shounen shit with a boneheaded MC and boring non progressional harem.
EDIT: And man, after putting this on hold since chapter 107 came out and now catching up to chapter 119...I don't think it was worth the wait of half a year for the little plot progression I got. Dropping this series.
You know, I didn't expect I'd give this manga it's highest written review rating, but I can see why. This manga stumbles hard in the beginning, but enduring the first 18 chapters will let you see the beginning of what this manga blooms into: a battle-crazed MC pushing his limits in another world while both embracing and destroying various isekai tropes.
Yeah, the art isn't the most "proportionally correct" (as if that's ever a thing in most manga) and in the beginning it's slightly better than amateur. But it gets far better over time as the artist begins to develop a style similar to One Piece (but less exaggerated in both how narrow the stomach/waists are and how "thicc" the "thicc" parts are), then use that as a base to develop an even better style. Personally, in the later chapters, I think it's more appealing than the style of One Piece.
The line art is clean throughout (not fuzzy), and as the artist comes into their own, the art will probably grow on you. I actually really like it in the later chapters.
The writing can be really janky at times, especially in the beginning. Yeah, the cringe is horrible. But as the plot develops, the writing improves and it becomes bearable.
So why did I stick it out past 18 chapters? There's an intangible quality that's greater than the sum of its parts, and it ended up paying off for me.
This one is a strong recommend, but you have to be willing to endure the sandpaper this initially puts to your brain. Kind of like the first several episodes of Eureka 7.
I enjoyed the anime so I was eager to read this because more often than not the anime doesn't do the manga justice. I was extremely disappointed, not only was the art terrible but there was actually LESS to the story in the manga than in the anime.
I can only assume the anime was adapted straight from the light novel and this is the work of a lazy no talent fourth rate mangaka.
i take that as the series is extremely forgettable
Can't put it better than the other reviewers. Look, if you are going to read trash then you can find more interesting trash elsewhere.
i’m guessing PZcolo and i gave up on this manga at about the same place. as soon as i saw the elf girl in a maid costume and that demon girl in chains, i couldn’t go on. i didn’t see the harem tag on the manga app i use and mistakingly gave it a chance. it’s so painfully average and just terrible at character building. i would say skip this one folks !
By Ch1 he's a newby weakling, by Ch3 he's already OP and by Ch5 already S rank. Simply terrible char progression, it would have been preferable to just having him OP from the start. Also I dislike how he's being pulled to do things he doesn't want to by others when just killing the one threatening him is easier, basically someone weaker is telling him to kill the demon king in exchange for nothing, just his freedom (meaning he won't tell his secret) how does that make sense when the MC just took care of others that dared try to take advantage of him? All this happens a the start by the way so I reckon it doesn't qualify as spoiler.
Another story with a MC getting his kicks from saving women with his free powers without really having to do anything and of course gaining the undying loyalty of his new harem member (who dresses in a maid dress by the way). Or put it in another way, instant self gratification with no real effort, another puerile and rather lame view of life by a childish mangaka,
