Magnus is a skilled wizard, possessing the ability to wield various attributes. Unfortunately, the leader of his party commands him to cast spells that have no impact on the monsters they face. The other members view him as useless and mistreat him. One night, after enduring another round of insults, Magnus is expelled from the party. Downtrodden, he is approached by a merchant who witnessed his mistreatment. The merchant gifts him a book—a book containing the entirety of the world's knowledge. Now, it's Magnus's turn to shine and rise above the party that once deemed him worthless.
