dude, they are coming with season 2, I presume it will show the story more from the hero's side.
my issue is that most interactions, fight & everything was shortened too much, if you read the manga I presume you know what I am talking about
even episode 12, MC was severely wounded and the battle was WAY longer, When MC went back to his dimension they all freaked out and healed him non-stop... nothing of that happened
I miss old anime days where they added all the content, even injected some content themselves, and was a more proper all-encompassing show... maybe if I didn't read the manga wouldn't care much... but oh well

Not really sure if this theory holds up, or if other people already came to this conclusion, but I have a weird feeling rn that master Quifrey messed with coco's mind to make her THINK that her mom is still messed up.

Like, her transitioning from her previous home life to her place at the atelier happened so fast.

Not to mention the fact that for all we know, there is no containment at the site.

Is she STILL crystallized at her home? What's going to happen if people come across it? What about those other kids? What happened to them?

There's also the fact that we haven't actually SEEN Coco's mom at all after this.

Don't remember the chapter, but when Coco was talking, it cuts to a panel showing her mom in crystal form.

That COULD just be what SHE thinks, and not what actually happened.

Given the fact that master Quifrey is no stranger to mind messing shenanigans, I wouldn't be surprised if he did this just to get one step closer to the brimmed hats.
