Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon

Characters don't feel very engaging, not enough tension just a lot of action, the comedy is inadequate

The initial story is more or less simple, a young dragon wants to live an adventure of his own as a human. Reminds me of Gemma! in the way it's portrayed (Gemma's Garin is way too similar to the spiritualist she meets). The current plot might be a bit overreaching, but I liked how the side characters act on their own interests and deaths are reasonable, not just a way to bring tension.

Our MC is a sheltered child, so in his first interaction with a human he gets sold off ... He won't be as trusting after thatHe'll be used and get stronger, just remember that he's a child and his priorities are; 1) entertaining himself 2) not dying

It isn't something that hasn't been attempted, but being a dragon (MC or side character) usually ends up in them constantly reverting and being OP, so I more or less understand AM_Woody's comment (though it's quite unreasonable given the setting). But I personally think that that kind of development usually goes nowhere.

Even though I cant really grasp where the plot will end as of ch64, the series has two more seasons and is being licensed and promoted ATM, so I guess it'll be good for at least 3+ seasons. The novel it's based on has 10 volumes and 20+ years so it could go anywhere.

What a waste of time. Shit just happens just cause!

He needs to be saved? Swordman. He needs to be used? Some bollocks about him being identical to a princess. Turning back into a dragon would solve everything? He's stuck as a weak human now (even though the other dragons are powerful enough to live in a volcano in human form). He needs to survive? "I won't kill you but I will yeet you out this 12 story window." He needs to escape? Spirit guy with doctor friend. Also pulling the 'these friendly people are actually evil!' thing twice is beyond lazy.Shite storytelling.
15 chapters of an MC who can't do anything, nothing substantial happening, and obvious plot twists. It was basically set up that should've been handled in 3 chapters.
It's fine having a weak protagonist, but give them something to make them interesting..
