This is trying too hard to be too many things at once.
The author is continually introducing strong plot elements and characters in what I assume is supposed to eventually develop into an epic storyline. The links that are needed to bind these individual elements together, however, are absent in the early story. In later chapters these binders are beginning to become apparent, but because they are not present initially the story is bogged down by the multitude of story elements fighting for the readers' attention, with little or no logic as to how they are meant to coexist.
I would not recommend this series to anyone. The ending may end up being very good, but it has such a sluggish start that I can't imagine anyone truly enjoying the story throughout its entirety.
I am enjoying this series quite a bit. It is not without its flaws of course. The initial establishment of the story and the introduction of the mysterious alternate/central/overlord? universe characters got me confused for a while. But the characters are funny and cute and the story while blurry at times is still interesting and entertaining. Overall a good read.
If you've caught up with the latest scanlated chapter like me and want to find more plot progression the new anime has caught up (or rather the scanlators have caught up with the anime <_<) with the storyline us non Japanese speakers/readers have so far.
it has an interesting premise in that the main guy could see flag and he break it or choose to accept it. this could have really good if it had gone the way of him using it to like save people from death like in the first chapter, but it took the rom-com harem way. which lead to my next problem.
it so forgettable that after one month of wait for the next chapter to come out, i couldn't remember anyone but the tsudere girl who speak old English and the trap. the problem is because they introduce so many girl in such a short amount of time that you don't really get to know the character more. it also doesn't have many moment aside from a couple that are really stand out.
overall it like many other harem, aside from the gimmick (which i wish he would use it on something better) and if you ran out of harem to read and still want more, then you should read this.
This manga has drawbacks like everyone out there. The MC
s character changes too dramatically, main heroines actions in starting chapters are without any logic. But that`s just the starting chapters. There seems to a story developing, new characters are introduced and it keeps manga interesting enough. Although I`m never bothered with repeated cliches in mangas so I might be a bit biased here. All I would like to say is that it a enjoyable read.
Read and decide for yourself. Never depend too much on comments because not everyone has same
Couldn't be bothered to write a proper start that is.
The female main character, Nanami, has no reason to exist yet she is what kicks this story off. She takes the main character off to the side to ask about his power despite the fact she shouldn't even know about it and then believes what he says in a heartbeat. Let's also forget the fact that he so readily explains them to a complete stranger.
The MC also doesn't like getting involved with people for reasons not yet divulged yet hangs out with his new best friend Nanami as she tries to get him to no long break these flags that end up keeping people away from him. And as she exclaims she has no flag of friendship, love or anything at all so who knows why the hell she is hanging out with him.
From there is devolves into a generic comedy harem where nothing happens. So if you are fine with reading harem manga #9467 then by all means pick this up and enjoy, otherwise steer clear.
