The premise gets old really fast and really annoying to bout. I could not get past the first 2 volumes.
After chapter 47 it diverges from the source (the source material had a zombie ark that was left on haitus). The ark that comes after is great, but in recent chapters the MC almost doesn't appear and the story has gone downhill (ch 46-47). It isn't echi but the story has devolved into something formulaic with the side-characters constantly blabbering nonsense. Adding the fact that the story comes out monthly I'll probably drop it for a while
This is a great comedic story about misunderstandings and obliviousness, and about doing the right things by accident. The art can sometimes be a bit rough; and the NPC fight scenes get a bit repetitive; but the core premise works really well and makes up for any imperfections in the execution. Cid is just a really fun and unique protagonist to read about.
I only got to chapter 3 before the joke had already run it's course, infact it stopped being funny before chapter 1 ended. I'm not sure who'd find this funny?
Started off hilarious with the MC's antics and hiding his true self but it starts to grate on your nerves after about 20 chapters and were in the 40's now so it's pure cringe at this point.
Everybody but the MC is given an IQ to that of a crayon so the author can keep using the same worn out plot device over and over.
Keeps getting worse and worse so down goes the rating more.
lots of fun to read
You are stupid or you are a teen, or both.
There has only been one joke in this entire manga. You get a scene of cliche anime bullshit, then later it's explained that he was actually doing it for some completely wacky and random reason. Lather, rinse, repeat. It ends up being a perfect example of the kind of trite writing it thinks it's mocking. It is pure hipster in that it gives you the wink and the nod to show that it is self aware that what it is doing is stupid, and then proceeds to do the stupid thing, because irony.
