In the sea of cliches and tropes, this manhua is a hidden gem. You actually feel like you're reading about real, breathing people with their own unique upbringings, perspectives, and goals instead of just a generic, self insert main character with a ML who's only personality trait is gushing over the main character. The politics in the imperial castle are also very well done, and I'm actually invested in the world that the author has created. If you're wondering if this is worth your time, go for it. It's not ground-breaking stuff, but it uses established tropes to its advantage in every way.
