Drop chapter 115
I love the art but the plot started to be frustrating. There's really no reason for me to continue reading this when it feels more like a chore, less like an enjoyment. Such a pity that so many stories are so hollow but beautifully illustrated.
Super-powers come in all kinds of flavors. Except if you have a special love for having monster parts on you, insect-type super-powers are at the very bottom. Same as I would rather be Thor than Spider-Man.
The righteous main character in a place filled with people becoming evil-doers as soon as they get super-powers is quite endearing. But the university accepting any super, even vilains, while themselves enticing students with an elixir, which can turn them back to normal, to manipulate the naive students into accepting who they are (half-human / half-insect) and molding them into insect-soldiers: yuk!
Very similar (in category and quality) to : Chong Sheng - Resurrection
First of all the art is phenomenal. All the characters are so pretty and the entomology stuff is interesting so I was really into this at first.
But that's kinda where it starts to get bland. You get a lot of great action sequences and power ups but the characters turned out to be so one dimensional and their development so cliche, so the fighting got real old pretty fast. It was also annoy how almost every time except when facing the boss guys it always had to be the ml who finishes things by powering up (again and again). I get that this is a typical trope but it felt like such a waste of all the other characters created because no matter what they did they always get dwarfed by the ml. It just becomes an endless cycle of one fight starts > some side character goes thru a cliche growth and scores a small victory > something else happens and now everyone's in jeopardy > ml swoops in and save the day. It just gets so predictable that I lost all sense of tension after the tournament mini-arc cuz you could tell how the plot and fights are gonna go 🙁
HEH HEH sex and violence sell! Feminist trash that preaches instead of entertaining does not!
Art is very good but too lewd for my liking. Story is not that interesting and characters are one dimensional
The title says it all. But how do I know? Cus the artist made my favorite borderline H manhwa so of course, I know it's good.
