    From the MC's trauma at the start, if there is one thing he shouldn't do, no matter what, if he wants to stay a consistent character, he can't raise his sword against rebelling slaves. He is effectively killing the people that raised him. You can be a half elf psycho or whatever, but to slice off your roots like that just makes your whole journey moot. He's effectively no different from his half brother. God I can't think of a more stupid development. The slaves got too greedy? They wanted too much? It's almost like it's THEIR work that kept the nobles fed and clothed. It's THEIR blood that the nobles spilt, THEIR children they killed or sold off. ANYTHING that the slaves do to the nobles is justified. I can't want "too much" of what is mine. How tf am I realistically supposed to side with the nobles in any situation here?
