    if you ask any english speaker, they would say that they are interchangeable because that's how they are commonly used in colloquial speech. I don't understand why there are a number of websites if you search for 'envy vs. jealousy' which state that there is a significant difference, or that it's about not wanting to lose something (that would be more akin to greed) because if you actually look in the dictionary you'll see jealousy as "a feeling of unhappiness and anger because someone has something or someone that you want" - Cambridge Dictionary
