The revelation of the true form of the curse is... really good. That was a clever use of story and storytelling.

But I have to say this... this series could be so much better, it leans too much of the usual writing crutches of manga, but most of them are done too quickly to have any real weight.

The core story has some good details and they do align with Kore-sensei's storytelling feeling, bet she is the one that created Giselle and Ao and the French alchemist society, but this suffers from the fact that the writer that took the brunt of the work doesn't live up to her level nuance.

The first 12 chapters felt like I was on a roller coaster of dumb foolery, a lot of shit could have been solve way simpler and the whole basic recovery spell makes me want to facepalm so hard. The "gods" and the fake saint make me feel like I'm slamming my head against the wall. Some of the stuff is just straight plot holes imo like where the fuck do you get a teleport stones and somehow program coordinates into it. Also the gods are basically game developers without an alpha test phase, they just throw in skills without fulling testing them. I'm glad at least everyone else in the story isn't your typical corrupted noble or church, I was predicting the church assassinating her family or something similar would happen. The school bombing/magic explosion seem like adding convenient fire to the chaos. TLDR: I need to take a break from reading this, touch some grass and breath fresh air. Come back later and see if this No Game No Life intro into the demon land is a good turning point.
