Afterwards she’s sent on an oversees school for some three years, then when she gets back, after another year or so they get married. No ceremony, on paper only. No chance Kuroba would bother with that.

Toiro probably met and wed a nice girl he met at a volunteering group,
And Usami for sure has a crush on someone from the police department, but is WAY too shy to confess his feelings.
All in all they live rather eventful adult lives together.
