When Yu Seohyeon gave her life to save her first love, Ciel de Leopart, she never imagined waking up as Irene de Closhe in a world that seemed plucked from the pages of a book. Amid this strange turn of events, she encounters Ciel again, now cast as a supporting male character fated to betray the crown prince. As Seohyeon's unique guiding abilities reemerge, she finds herself unsettled by Ciel's intense, madness-filled stare, so different from the man she once knew. Caught between memories of past love and new identities, Seohyeon must tread a perilous path where past and present intertwine.

On a pure story telling scale, it's mid. Someone said the novel makes more sense and I believe it. I'm not commenting on the story because I feel like I'm not the target audience... The ML is extremely toxic and obsessive, so title isn't exaggerating unlike some other manwha. At the very least, artist did a good job making me feel uncomfortable about the fl's dynamic with Ciel.
The world building is interesting, though.
This one of those stories that are so much better if you read the original novel before or alongside the manhwa. Understandably, in the manhwa, they have to cut out a lot of the inner thoughts and context found in the original novel otherwise it'd be too long. Ciel is an asshole, but you get to understand his 'reasons' more in the novel and Rin's reasons for rejecting him are better explained also
:*This villain raped 7 infants and caused a mass genocide against muslims, he can lift 2,000kg*
"Okay let's defeat him by making whacky sound effects and a 12 year old outclassing him. Then everyone can cheer as he makes a silly face!"
Yeah. Nope. There is literally no such thing as suspense in this story lmao
