In a few chapters it is established that MC is essentially a God that can create and destory anything with "alchemy" (magic) better than anyone else.

At first I thought, oh maybe the cost of using magic is that it takes a toll on his body or the environment, but nope! There's no limit.

He solely manufacturers all the supplies for the guild and carries the whole place single-handedly for no benefit. It's not like he needs special equipment since he can just MANIFEST IT INTO REALITY.

The plot implies MC was a lobotomized drone incapable of basic thought just so that the narrative can appeal to the depressed Japanese salary man fantasy of vengeful quiting.
