South Korean author are like story about IDIOT DRAMA LOGIC
MC's soul is swapped with a suicidal person who ends up killing himself.
MC starting to gain back the trust of his new family is handled nicely but the way he easily gains the memories of the current body is terrible and everything after that.
After he recovers, he starts leveling up and then it's just a bunch of nice side-quests to get rid of evil sects while gaining new allies.
MC's fame increases while he does every single quest.
No leads as to why MC was soul-swapped or which evil super strong organization is behind it nor are we get to shown their actions.
Sure the evil people he's getting rid of might be connected but there's nothing shown to the readers; no interrogating villains, not gaining info by talking to other characters (aside from the side-quest going on), no info from MC's knowledge itself etc.
So you got to wonder why are you still reading it (85 chapters at the time of this review).
If you can ignore the bad plot progress, you might enjoy it
MC's personality is as the other reviewer described here, it might be boring for some people.
The side-characters are dumb idiots I liked at the beginning, though I'm starting to wonder why they're still here.
Having read 56 chapters.
There is something lacking, be it the story or the characters. There is something fake about the MC, who has no ambition. The other characters also feel like caricatures and not "human".
Maybe it is the fact he hides the fact his soul was moved to another body from those that were close to him and doesn't seem to be affected by their grief. What reason does he have to keep this secret ?
Maybe the fact he is an old man in a young man's body that acts like an old man who is no longer deeply affected by the world and for whom there is no future.
Translation is a bit iffy as well. Not very bad, but it doesn't flow well.
Story for now is just a bunch of random events. I think there is an overall story that involves the cause of his forced body swap, but even the MC doesn't seem particularly interested in that.
So far by Chapter 21 the story seems good, nothing too new but interesting enough.
But what caught my eye was comic relief with the female shadow guard, and to a lesser extent the grandfather and other relations.
It's still early, but the humor seems to be in the same vane and quality as that in the Manhwa of "Return of the Mount Hua Sect".
And the lead has so far been quite measured in his actions, he can be ruthless (for good reason, but perhaps on the gory side of what one might expect), so he's not one to let villains go, but neither does he act like a tyrant ruining everyone's lives lest one enemy escape.
Oh yes, I like the artistic style too!
