God of Martial Arts

The story is very basic: MC living in Earth transmigrates to a murim world and want to become the strongest. In this world, everyone is "cruel", and only the strongest can survive, so the MC decides to become the cruelest, because that's how he can survive. He's quite merciless and reckless, just killing every single person who that threatens or disrespects him. Honestly, no story can make any sense when the MC is just killing the important members of every family. This story, as well, doesn't make any sense, because someone or something is always protecting the MC so he can keep killing everyone and be merciless. This is one of the frustrating points of this story.

So, I can easily summarize this story like this: some third-rate villain will act arrogant and say the MC is trash. Most of time the MC will kill the villain right away, but if he can't kill him, he'll swear vengeance and kill him later. Along the story, every 20 chapters you'll find a hot girl falling in love with the MC and an arrogant bastard who will die by his hands and shock everyone.

Every character is shallow with no development. The MC just kill everyone. The girls just fall in love with him because he kills everyone. The villains are stupid. You won't care about the side characters on the MC's side as well.

The art is also terrible. In the first chapters, it's completely amateur. Any beginner artist can probably draw better than that. It slowly becomes better, but it changes around chapter 350 or 400. I guess they changed the artist, or whatever. It was bad, but it became really generic by then, even worse than before. Sigh, you can't expect anything about the art of this one, it's really bad.

Romance is cringe. The MC is ruthless and looks like a demon when fighting, but acts like a virgin when talking with girls, and that's his second life...

Like every manhua, the translation is instable. I would reccommend to read Allen's translation in the first chapters, as he has good translation and explains a lot of the things of the novel at the end of the chapters, but he only translated the first 100 chapters or so. And even worse, most of the chapters in the first 40 chapters were broken or with missing pages, and only the version of Mangatoon has the complete pages, but their translation is terrible in the beginning, so I had to read both version to understand the first chapters. After Allen stopped translating, there are a few scans translating the story as well following his format of putting notes at the end, but after chapter 400 or so, it's hard to find good translation and Mangatoon is probably the only one translating. I'd like to advise Mangatoon translates the names of the characters, so you'll see some chinese character called "Ben", "Joshua", "Moon", "One Eyed", "One Arm", etc. Even the sect names are translated. And they use unique names to cultivations as well, but you probably get used to it. Currently, their last chapter is 718, and if you want to read after that, there's a site using MTL until chapter 863. Their translation is good enough IMO. You can understand most of it.

Final advise about this story: If you're willing to read it, you have to read until chapter 130 (around sub-chapter 42.1), everything before that is just a prologue. The chapters are really short, so you can easily reach chapter 130 in one day. After you reach this chapter, you can probably understand what direction the story will go. Like I said, there aren't many good points, except the MC is merciless and kill everyone. That's probably the reason people like this story, as the MCs never spare his enemies and always kills.

The chapter 863 is equivalent to chapter 713 in web novel, and the web novel is complete with 2500 chapters, so this webtoon will probably end with 3000 chapters if they adapt everything.

I’ve up through chapter 276 so far, and while it’s not so spectacular that I’d read it multiple times, it’s definitely interesting. The beginning is a bit slow and has some common clichés, but it gets better as it goes. Compared to other stories in this genre which typically focus only on the MC’s climb up from the bottom, this story brings in more of the larger power struggles going on in the country and how they effect the MC’s growth directly and indirectly.
It’s best read if you have time to binge read it, as there are a lot of characters and subplots that are difficult to keep track of if you only read one chapter a day/week.

The protagonist had some problems in terms of strength before (his wifey was always saving him). Still, after some time and patience with the series you see he is saving her now. This cultivation world the MC lives is cruel, and he changes to match his environment. He is cold blooded to his enemies, but kind to his comrades. Another thing I can add is that he has more girls in his entourage than guys (a harem has to be made eventually). It is best to read a couple of chapters because you make a opinion on this manhua and MC.

Lots of arrogants and psycho mc in this kind of webnovels, but this particular mc has no redeeming qualities and it's incredibly hard to root for him.
Read something else, this is quite bad.

Just like the novel, except more disjointed. Ratings must be propped?

I've no idea if the original novel is equally bad but this is terrible. The story has absolutely no flow. Each chapter feels like it stands more or less alone with the most tenuous of relations to those preceding it. The plot moves jerkily along with no rhyme or reason. The protagonist powers up seemingly off-screen, you can't even be annoyed at how cheesy it is because the author never bothers to explain why the protagonist is so powerful. Beyond that all of the characters are paper thin and their motivations and behaviour either have no justification or are completely bizarre. The protagonist is in theory a modern day guy who died in a car accident. Yet literally within days of his rebirth he is crippling people, callously murdering people he's beaten and so on. The artwork is mediocre, the story is, even for a genre piece, painfully unoriginal. There is nothing that redeems this. I would oh so strongly suggest not wasting your time.

In my opinion, the worst aspect of it is the characters, every single character starting from the MC is meaningless, i guarantee you will not care about any of them. Everything feels extremely forced and rushed, the MC gets more and more powerful for no apparent reason, other than to further the "plot". It looks like 90% of people in that world are all evil and think too highly of themselves and I guess the author wants us to sympathize with the MC because of how everyone treats him, but no thank you.

The world building is complete shit, or well there is none. We get a little explanation of the powers at the beginning and that's it. The MC just goes from place to place and the reader has no idea why really and what it represents.

I don't know if it's the same in the LN but either way i really don't recommend this manhua to anyone
