The harem stuff is as stupid and pointless as ever. A guy like him would NOT get four or five women constantly fawning about him! One woman with specific tastes maybe, but certainly not that many girls. It just feels un-needed in such a military propaganda heavy work.
As eyebrow raising it would be, they should just officially pair him with Rory and call it a day. The narrative clearly favors whatever's between those two anyway compared to the other girls.
