This is the story of a young boy,
after being sent from Hiroshima to Saga in 1958,
ten years after the end of World War II,
due to his mother's financial struggles.
Living in an unfamiliar place,
far from home,
he finds himself yearning for the life he left behind.
Worse still, he is not accustomed to his grandmother and her ways.
But with his Gabai Granny by his side,
he will gradually uncover,
through his growing pains,
just how resourceful and resilient Granny truly is.
