I relate to Rokuro on his worry, can't even say I surpassed this challenge yet... but what Hyuse said is something I have been applying myself.

And even if every little victory I had is really small in the overall state of my life... they are still victories, and they are mine.

Ironically, Rokuro was dealt too good of a card and put in a situation that didn't allow him to really soak what was given to him, as Hyuse said, there are other methods, but going back to square one, starting anew, working every step of the way, it will help even if frustration sets in... and I think, that he may find that even if he could use the knowledge he has in the same level as Katori and the rest, he may be able to use it in other less taxing situations, and that WILL bring a new view and improvement, that by itself would make the effort worth.
