Honestly this is such a wonderful manga. It's my go-to happy manga. It's almost got a Ghibli vibe to it, with emphasis on the simple things but still really whimsical. There's nothing here that's sad or complicated (at least to me). It's a beautiful world, filled with interesting creature, unique magic, adventures, and every day goodness.
I've seen some people say that they find it bland, and I don't find it bland at all. It's not dramatic or crazy with strong feelings like a lot of mangas. It's truly just a chill story with really cool details about magic that I absolutely love. There's not really a main premise, it basically tells stories of the characters throughout their daily life. They make friends, learn things, meet spirits and creatures, learn spells....it's just fun. <3
10/10 I would say this is one of my favorites. My only wish is that it updated more sigh
Some may say Flying Witch is bland, but it's actually just really chill. It's also the most believable depiction of magic I have ever seen in fiction. I have to wonder if the author dabbles in witchcraft because of how knowledgeable they are about witch culture. Or maybe they've done extensive homework. It's a true slice of life because I COULD apply so many of the real world things that are featured here to my own life. My one criticism is that the artwork has gotten very sloppy as of late.
