In a fictional world where Korea stands as a global leader in martial arts, the government promotes high schools to establish martial arts classes to cultivate talented fighters. With various incentives provided to students of these classes, nearly every teenager aspires to be chosen for these elite programs. Among all the martial arts classes nationwide, Nam-il High School's Fight Class 3 is the most renowned.
A short and frail freshman named Ji-tae, whose physical attributes starkly contrast those of a typical athlete, aims to join Nam-il's Fight Class 3. Maria, a genius martial artist and international student from Brazil in Class 3, notices Ji-tae's unique talents—double-jointed flexibility and an uncanny ability to predict his opponent’s movements during combat—that make him ideal for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She convinces the head martial arts instructor to evaluate Ji-tae, and he passes the test. Julia also learns about Ji-tae's missing father, who was once a celebrated martial artist. Through countless sparring sessions with Maria and his other classmates, each mastering different martial arts, Ji-tae gradually transforms into a specialist in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Meanwhile, he continues his quest to find his missing father, with Maria by his side.

...of side-characters. I have heard that it's a slow burn and that it all leads to a satisfying payoff but I can't dedicate myself to 10s of chapters with little to no screen time to MC.
when it's cute it's really cute
when it's funny it's pretty funny
decent enough fighting i guess
interesting to have women and lgbtq characters with any depth in what's ostensibly a fight manhwa
fun but
I know that there are a lot of people saying how lame the main character is and I agree but that doesn't mean you should stop there and skip this. Please try this one, as the story processes the main character gets a huge character development. And just a spoiler
It’s alright to start off weak and have weaknesses to overcome. Throw in some trauma if you must.
But damn the MC has no useful personality trait outside of being the MC. Hardworking? Not particularly. Talented? Maybe, not exactly the best either. Has a spine? Nope.
Being a keyboard warrior with nothing go for you is better than the MC.
If you want to read this, you would get a better story by just looking in a mirror.
Could say a lot, but instead I’ll just say:
All in all, would definitely rec to a friend. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.
