this is why i don't like seeing people self-insert into a manga character
they feel they have the right to dictate how a character do based on their own values regardless of how the character want
try to read stories from a 3rd person perspective, see them as they are intended by the author

if you had to complain, direct it to the author, not the character
but when you do, make sure it's a legit complain, unlike your 3rd nitpick
he didn't kill a "hot enemy", he killed an enemy, period
author is being consistent with his take of kill or be killed, you can't fault the author for making him kill an enemy in a war, even if the enemy is a woman you thought of as "hot"

No it's probably coming back, the series is still on going in Japanese and new chapters are regularly coming out.
Similarly, the english release doesn't seems to have stop has the vol 5 came out August of this year.
The fan translator likely dropped the series, you just need to wait for someone else to pick it up or for the official translation to catch up.
