You have to understand that this girl had been treated so poorly most of her life...and JUST survived death. If you just escaped death and given time to reflect on what has happened, you too would have realized that was time for a change. For her, it's about survival and she needed to at least put up her defenses just long enough to get out of that horrible family.

That ending.....
