It's basically a martial arts story with its own logic, but set in an "(Asian) medieval fantasy" world. It's fine, better than most similar series, but I guess it isn't what the Asian public is looking for, so I don't see it having much of a future. They should've risked it, starting with fewer cliches.

Edit: The series is still fine, but the author shows a lack of knowledge about the Middle Ages. He tried to mimic and didn't remove the typical plot holes fusion fantasy has. It also bothered me greatly how he mentions yet ignores resources. (Even if he has elite soldiers, it's worthless if the enemy poisons the land; few people can't occupy anything, and lives lost don't come back.) All in all, I like how the enemies do put up a fight with their own strategies, but the massive plot armor the MC has kills it for me. I mean, if both sides have a nuke and MC nuke uses it, why doesn't the other side retaliate? MC ended up being yet another OP murder hobo.

MC is perfect emotionless robot. His goal is world domination or something. Why ? Because that is what he deserves...
The plot is basically the MC being arrogant in all situations and it always being the correct attitude.

His interactions with people are composed either them:
    a. Begging for his mercy, because they are about to be brutalized.
    b. Swearing their loyalty to him.

I already hate the MC, but it is obvious he isn't going to change and that he is going to win anyway.

Startlingly decent. Couldn't stand the title nor the blurb but was bored and read it...and I'm hooked. One of my favorites for it's rather "interesting" politics. The increasing stakes during the Southern Border war really upped everything. I appreciate how truly cold the MC is.

"I do not care about the lethal debt your Kingdom of Hektor is drowning under nor that your people are starving by the millions due to your Father's inability to be a proper King, Crown Prince. You invaded Kairos first but your greatest sin is threatening me, Roman Dmitri."

Damn, son. Roman is not bothering to calm any heaving bosoms from any side of this conflict with that attitude.

With all the terrible official names licensed websites are known to be using. For once, I thought that they actually gave a better title to this series than whatever "The Heavenly Demon Can't Live a Normal Life" is supposed to be.

Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised that the series actually provided me with a pretty decent plot and storyline that didn't turn out to be boring for the first 50 chapters. Yes, this is still a power fantasy where our protagonist overwhelms all his foes in two or three swings of a sword. However, the author was able to make the side characters at least somewhat memorable and likable, especially our female lead who wasn't just another damsel in distress like the other counterparts. Halfway into the series, the art got a much-needed upgrade from chapters 1-20 that made all the characters look cleaner and sharper. The story became tighter from that point onwards as well, with the story always staying linear in terms of its progression.

All in all, it is what it is, a generic power fantasy manhwa that turned out surprisingly well.
    Art: 8/10
    Story: 7/10
    Characters: 7/10
    Overall: 7/10

I don't know why this manga is name "The Heavenly Demon Can’t Live a Normal Life" since it's clear that the main character doesn't want to live a normal life... he literally has ambitions to take over the world from day 1 basically.

If you are contemplating to read this or not, let me help you clear your mind. First read the Manhwa then The novel. Both has the same Title so it's easy to find it. The novel currently has 550 chapters. Split in 1 part which is from 1-468. Then Part 2 starts in 469 onwards. It's worth to binged read it. No boring moments. Mc is smart, cunning, cruel and at the same time most human of all human. He's a god like to his people, not a stingy boss in giving compensation and rewards but a Devil if you stand on the other side in the battlefield. He really really is a worthy and Ideal Leader. All characters including side and extras has value and diversity. Not only expect character development of the MC but also to the people around him friend or foe.
It started with a slow progress since author wants you to be comfy first and test the mc but 50-70+ onwards? That's the start of a masterpiece!. Now what are you waiting for? Starts reading 🥳.
