Hohyun, the MC, is a useless little shit. Morose, timid and hides behind his "nice guy" facade in order to not take any responsibility. Like, at all.
I was sympathetic at first because I don't like confrontation either. In fact, there were times in my life that I knew I'd be in danger if I didn't speak up...yet, I still didn't. I wanted to avoid attention but instead got more of it because I didn't do the smart thing and speak up to get help.
Here, however, Hohyun is faaaar too passive. Things happen to him. He doesn't question Yongwon's familiarity. He doesn't try to find out ways to contact the outside world. He's not actively trying to find a solution. He's not actively trying to do ANYTHING.
He should have logically pointed out Yongwon and he brought food in ch.16. There was zero strategic need to keep that all in his head and get heartburn from the indignity and unfairness.
They didn't barge into this other area. They were invited in because they had food. Of course the new group they joined are ungrateful. Now they're being kicked out/forced to go find more food because this new group is too cowardly to do it's own scavenging. There's more of them so Yongwon and Hohyun wouldn't really win in a fight.
Frustrating so far.
I read up to ch 54 and my main thoughts were that I wish it wasn't 1. Non-con in the first early scenes I kept thinking it dragged the LI down 2. Almost every other person they meet seems to be evil.
I know survival horror is already niche so I can't really compare much to other longer series too. Although I'm not into horror I liked the art so here I am. So far I feel like it could wrap up in 2 Seasons which is great since I can feel like the main plot twits have been revealed already.
I love this story, please can we have some more episodes
