"I, Maehara Maki, had always struggled to make friends in high school. Finally, I found a companion to spend time with outside of school. Her name was Asanagi-san. The boys in my class would whisper among themselves that she was 'the second cutest girl in class.' Every Friday, she would turn down her best friend Amami's invitations—Amami being 'the cutest girl in class'—to come over to my house instead.
